The Recon Garage is a new platform hosting raffle drawings to raise funds for the Kevin Halewood Foundation.
The process involves purchasing items or services which are then made available by purchasing a raffle tickets on the KHF auction page. The raffle ends when all tickets for a particular item are sold, and the winner is announced on the next Recon Garage show.
Here’s a detailed example of how it works:
- An item is bought from a vendor for $200.
- A raffle is set up on the KHF auction site with tickets priced at $20 each. The number of tickets depends on the item, but in this case, we’d sell 20 tickets.
- If all 20 tickets are sold, we’d raise $400. Half of this amount ($200) covers the cost of the item, and the remaining half ($200) is donated to the Kevin Halewood Foundation.
- The winner of the item is drawn on the following Recon Garage live show (two shows are planned per week). The order of ticket purchase determines the drawing number. For instance, if you’re the third person to buy a ticket, your drawing number is 3.
- The vendor then drop-ships the item directly to the winner, provided shipping is applicable.
