Kevin’s vision to unite automotive communities through MTE will never be forgotten.

The Kevin Halewood Foundation offers financial support to technicians in the MTE Community facing life-threatening illnesses. Our goal is help the individuals of our community that are in need while carrying Kevin Halewood’s legacy. Kevin was the founder of Mobile Tech Expo (MTE), an amazing trade show for Paintless Dent Repair, Auto Detailing, Interior Repair, Paint Touch Up, Windshield Repair and more. MTE brought a fractured industry together to promote education, networking, comradery. Today MTE offers dozens of seminars, and education classes; hundreds of vendors; and thousands of attendees!

Kevin’s Story

Kevin was born to Irene & Tom Halewood on July 24, 1954. He spent most of his life traveling between New York and Runcorn, England. Kevin was a professional speed skater in his early years. He worked as a manager for National Airlines, and then Pan Am for the Tri-state area. Here he met the love of his life, Karen, to whom he married for over 45 years.

Later on, Kevin became an accomplished business owner and legend to the Mobile Tech industry as the founder of Mobile Tech Expo. Unfortunitly, Kevin passed away on February 4, 2024, from surgical complications. At heart, Kevin was known for his storytelling, sense of humor, and positive outlook on life with the lifelong nickname “Happy Halewood”. Kevin was a friend to all creatures great and small. After raising a family he found joy in raising and releasing both squirrels and butterflies. He is survived by his wife, Karen, children, Kenton & Kara, and grandson, Rowan.
